Research

My research is primarily focussed on the late diagnosis of autistic adults, misdiagnosis, camouflaging/masking, and mental health. My aim is to explore the things that matter most to autistic people and that can have a real impact. This has include conducting research on diagnosis and screening measures as well as the increased risk of mental health difficulties and how services can provide better support. Lived experience is embedded in all my work, and I have sat on numerous research steering groups as both a lived experience and autism expert.
